Jimmy T. Singh, CPA, is an accomplished finance executive, author, and independent financial consultant whose career spans more than four decades of leadership in public accounting, healthcare finance, and independent consulting, a career built not on inheritance or advantage, but on discipline, lifelong learning, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

He began his career in public accounting, where he focused primarily on auditing healthcare organizations, an experience that gave him deep insight into the financial and operational complexities of the sector. He subsequently held financial positions in the nonprofit sector before joining the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, now VNS Health, one of the largest not-for-profit home and community-based healthcare organizations in the United States, where he would build the defining chapter of his career. Joining the organization in 1989, he advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, serving as Financial Analyst, Assistant Controller, and Controller, before being appointed Corporate Controller, a role he held for nearly twelve years. In that capacity, he oversaw complex financial reporting, accounting operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and internal controls for an organization with combined annual revenues exceeding $2 billion. He presented the annual audited financial statements to the board of directors and was responsible for the monthly financial presentations to senior leadership. He became known for his ability to build high-performing teams, navigate organizational change, and provide sound financial stewardship in a highly regulated environment. Before leaving corporate life, he transitioned into the role of Divisional Controller, supporting the organization's strategic reorganization and consolidation of divisions, with direct responsibility for overseeing one of them. He left in 2021 on his own terms, with his reputation and legacy fully intact.

That departure marked not a retreat but a deliberate reinvention, as he stepped into a new chapter defined by writing, consulting, and managing his personal investment portfolio with a long-term perspective.

Today, Jimmy serves as an Independent Financial Consultant, private investor, and author, drawing upon decades of executive experience to provide strategic guidance and financial insight and to share lessons on purpose, financial independence, and the intentional building of a meaningful life. He is also the author of A Life Well Lived: From a Small Village to a Life of Purpose, Success, and Love, published in 2026, a memoir reflecting on purpose and the intentional building of a meaningful life.
